Auto Recycler in WY
Case Study
Auto Recycler based in Wyoming
the challenge
Late on a Wednesday afternoon, an Auto Recycler phone system went down and was not repairable. They were unable to take calls from customers and were losing more money by the minute. They were in crisis mode. They met Ken from Communications Consultants at the Four Corners Rocky Mountain Summit & Expo, so they called him to see if he could help.
- The Comcast services offered were not compatible with the phone system
- The contract as written could not provide voice services without a highly costly replacement of the exiting phone systems
- If Comcast ported the numbers away from the incumbent carrier, as planned, the entire enterprise would have had no phone service.
Ken jumped into action, despite convalescing from a previous day’s surgery. Within three hours, Ken built a call flow in a demo system that delivered calls to sales agent’s cell phones. Then working with the Auto Recycler and one of his service provider’s contacts, Ken designed and created a quote. When the Auto Recycler accepted the solution, Ken worked with the service provider’s technical department to implement it in record time.
The Auto Recycler was on the band-aid solution for four days. On the fifth day, the Auto Recycler activated the new call center service. Such a complex call center project typically requires two months to build. Because of Ken’s out-of-the-box thinking, this Auto Recycler stayed in business, minimized their losses, and returned to full service quicker than anyone thought possible.
